Applying for a Sports Fund grant
Until Sept 2007 the immediate aim of Sports Fund is to support grass-root sport participation through the implementation of Sports Search software in secondary schools in England and will be dedicating funds exclusively to this.
All grant applications are being coordinated by Sports Search CIC and therefore if you are interested in applying for a grant you need to contact Sports Search by emailing info@sportssearch.org or calling 0870 428 4678 to submit your details. Your application will be forwarded by Sports Search and then assessed by the Sports Fund board of trustees. You will be notified as to whether the application has been successful or not.
The following organisations can apply for the Sports Search system:
- Individual Schools
- Local Authorities and Local Authority Education Departments
- County Sports Partnerships
- Partnership Developments Managers
Sports Fund has other medium and long term aims and will be supporting other initiatives such as equipment and club membership support after this initial exclusive support stage.

All applicants must fit the strict criteria set out by the Board of trustees as to suitable applications for a Sports Fund grant.
Applicant Criteria

The criteria for all Sports Fund applicants wishing to take advantage of this first initial stage offering must comply with the following criteria:
- All secondary Schools in England may apply
- All Schools must provide DFES numbers
- All Schools must provide information on the number of pupils proposing to use the Sports Search software
- All Schools must give the contact details of one teacher to act as the Sports Search liaison officer.
